Large Wheathampstead Garden
This large family garden in Harpenden was a blank canvas, with few existing borders and trees. Large sweeping borders have been added along with a wide range of garden plants and trees to create interest throughout the year. Areas of interest are created by gravel borders, hot mediterranean planting as well as lush poolside shadier planting. The planting design has developed over a number of years and this garden is now part of the National Garden Scheme and opens in May each year to raise money for a wide range of UK charities.
"This large family garden is full of diverse, colourful and scented plants. It's a haven for pollinators and winter and summer alike there is always something in flower. A beautiful central sweeping lawn drawns you down the garden to a swimming pool area, vegetable beds and shady borders at the back of the garden. We use the garden all year round and it's a haven of peace and beauty."
